OUR UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST PRINCIPLES
|
Nursery Care is provided for infants and toddlers up to 3 years old. The nursery offers a safe, fun space for babies and young toddlers, supervised by a loving caretaker who is available each week. In addition, our volunteer "baby rockers", those in the congregation who love babies, are always ready to lend a hand. The nursery is available from 10:15 to 11:45 each Sunday.

Children three years and older begin their Sunday morning in the sanctuary at 10:30, proceeding to classes after the story. To insure their safety, all children will be with their parents during this intergenerational worship time.
Registration begins September 9 and is ongoing. The registration fee is $10 per child (max. $25 per family). Scholarships are always available; please speak to the Minister or the Director of Religious Education.
Through exploration of themselves, others, family, church, nature and holidays, children discover these four of the Unitarian Universalist principles: each person is special and important; we should treat each other fairly and kindly; we should accept each other and learn together; we should take care of our earth, the home we share with all living things.
A lively introduction to the seven UU principles culminating in an exploration of the big questions: Is there a God? What comes after death? How does life begin?
Exploring a full range of well-known bible stories from a UU perspective, children will think about how the bible came to be, why it is so important to some people, find their own inspiration in the Jewish and Christian scriptures.
We’re very excited to announce the beginning of the new Junior Youth group!
All young people ages 11-13 are invited to attend and find out why UU youth groups become such an important part of growing up. The group meets 2 times per month on Sunday afternoon. Juli Gould and Cynthia Benard are advisors.
The Senior Youth Group is for youth ages 14-17 and meets 2 times per month for friendship, service, worship and some silliness. Youth group members plan their meetings and select their projects with the help of their advisors. Traditional activities include the Walk for Hunger, camp-outs, service projects and a Sunday morning senior youth-led worship. Our senior youth are also welcome to assist in the church school program as child care providers, assistants and teachers. In addition, senior youth are encouraged to join our adult worshipping community on Sunday mornings and to participate in adult religious education classes and choir as their interests dictate. Andrea Priest and Karen McGuinness are advisors.
To develop a deeper understanding of Unitarian Universalism and what it means to be a Unitarian Universalist.
To explore the beliefs, traditions and cultures of our world so that we will be aware and respectful of its religions and rich social diversity.
To build within our church a sense of community where exploring and learning are pleasant and enjoyable.
To provide an environment where it is physically, emotionally and intellectually safe to explore who we are and what we think.
To encourage all of us to enjoy, appreciate, and care for the natural world.
To be involved in the work towards peace and justice.
To promote life-long learning and spiritual growth.
To balance fun, worship, learning, leadership, and service.
